SEA Games 2015: Special 'Supporters' Medallion' unveiled
Organisers of this June's South-east Asia (SEA) Games have a special surprise for those attending its closing ceremony on June 16 - a 'Supporters' Medallion' closely modelled after the gold medal at the Games.
The Medallion, along with the medals which will be awarded to athletes, were unveiled at a press conference at the Black Box auditorium at the Sports Hub this morning, where organisers also shared details of the Games' closing ceremony.
A total of 40,000 Supporters' Medallions - which measures 6cm in diameter with a 7cm ribbon strap - have been produced.
Colonel Lawrence Lim, chairman of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, said: "The Supporters' Medallion represents Singapore and the region's support and solidarity towards the athletes and participants of the SEA Games.
"These Medallions along with the memories and friendships forged during the Games will definitely be something that one can keep and maintain for years to come."
Fans can purchase tickets to the closing ceremony here.
