Singapore beat Thailand to set up dream netball final with Malaysia
The dream netball final is on.
Singapore has booked a rematch with causeway rivals Malaysia on Sunday (June 7) after beating Thailand 59-29 in the semi-final before a sell-out crowd at the OCBC Arena today.
The Malaysians reached the final after easing past Brunei 79-23 in an earlier game.
The two teams played out a dramatic preliminary-round match earlier this week which ended in a 35-35 draw.
Malaysia coach Asaari Aminah is relishing the challenge, calling it the final “everybody wanted from the start”.
She said: “We are ready, physically, mentally, tactically, and in every way. I’m sure tomorrow’s game will be a good fight."
