Twitter tributes pour in for Aussie batsman Phillip Hughes who died from head injuries
Twitter was abuzz with tributes pouring in for Australian batsman Phillip Hughes who died from injuries during a domestic cricket game this week.
He did not regain consciousness after being hit on the head by a bouncer.
Australia's legendary wicket-keeper batsman Adam Gilchrist summed it all up in his tweet (above).
Shocking
Prime Minister Tony Abbott led the tributes in a statement minutes after news broke of the death.
He said: "Phillip Hughes was a young man living out his dreams. His death is a very sad day for cricket and a heartbreaking day for his family.
"What happened has touched millions of Australians. For a young life to be cut short playing our national game seems a shocking aberration."

Hughes, who played 26 Tests, collapsed after being hit by a Sean Abbott bouncer during a Sheffield Shield game between South Australia and New South Wales at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Tuesday.
Reports said he suffered a fractured skull and catastrophic bleeding in his brain.
