Vorster happy to get the ride on Faaltless

One of those who certainly think FAALTLESS is a leading hope is Barend Vorster, who grabbed the chance with both hands when approached for the ride.

"I'm glad to get back on him," said the South African, who rode Faaltless at his winning debut last August.

"Johnny picked Blue Swede and he must be going good, but Faaltless is also a very good ride.

"Obviously, on his last run, he (Faaltless) showed he has since stepped up towards the best three-year-olds and proved he can measure up. He gave me a good feel when I rode him in trackwork.

"It'll be his 1,400m debut, but he's got the ability to go over such a trip. It will all depend on how the race pans out for him, and the gate he draws as well.

"He was able to dictate terms at his own pace in the first leg, when I rode Goodman in that race. The way they cantered and sprinted did not suit Goodman."
