Watch Fandi Ahmad take the ice bucket challenge
He might be in the hot seat but Fandi Ahmad is cool enough to take the ice bucket challenge.
Singapore's favourite football son and current coach of the LionXII took a short time off in the evening to take up the challenge laid down by his son Ikhsan.
The video was posted on the LionsXII Instagram and it showed the 52-year-old gamely taking on the social media challenge that is sweeping the Internet.
The ice bucket challenge aims to raise awareness for a debilitating disease called amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
Throwing a bucket of ice water over yourself might seem silly but according to The New York Times, the challenge has helped to raise US$41 million (S$51.2 million) so far and at the rate things are going, it may raise a lot more than that.
The LionsXII travel to Johor Baru to face Johor Darul Ta'zim II this Saturday (Aug 23).
