Wozniacki flirts with López idea
Caroline Wozniacki might be off the market again, a month after breaking up with her fiancé, top golfer Rory McIlroy.
But the Danish player "smiled" when somebody suggested that she may have hooked up with Spanish tennis player Feliciano López.
"He's a great guy, playing well." she said of her admirer in a post-match interview after winning her opening match at Wimbledon on Tuesday, reported USA Today.
She said with a laugh: "This is very awkward."
World No 15 López, 32, was seen with Wozniacki, 23, at the Aegon championships in Eastbourne, England, earlier this month.
"I like her so much. She has a great character," López said then, The Guardian reported.
Wozniacki with McIlroy earlier this year.
Fine being single
But it looks like López will have to work harder to win her heart.
"I'm perfectly fine being single at the moment," the Danish former world no 1 said.
"It is pretty hard to sweep me off my feet. It would have to take someone very special.
"You never know. I guess when you least expect it, it's going to come."
McIlroy ended the three-year relationship with Wozniacki with a phone call.
"The problem is mine. The wedding invitations issued at the weekend made me realise that I wasn't ready for all that marriage entails," the Northern Irish golfer had said.
