Returning for its eighth year, Beerfest Asia 2016 kicks off tomorrow at the Marina Promenade and it promises to be bigger and better.

First, you will be spoilt for choice.

Over 500 beers from more than 35 exhibitors will be on site for tasting. You can start off with sampling platters of six 50ml portions.

Look out for famed beers such as the German Flensburger series by Chaoying Company, the Archipelago series by Archipelago Brewery and the Starker series by Starker Fresh Beer Singapore.

New to this year's Beerfest Asia is a selection of never-seen-before brews such as Archipelago Brewery's Singapore Blonde Ale, Chaoying Company's new dark seasonal brew Flensburger Winterbock, Germany's top draught beer Bitburger Premium Beer and wheat beer Benediktiner Weissbier by Yen Investments.

There are also TSA Wines' new flavours such as Stillwater Yacht Lager, Evil Twin Sunshine Slacker Session IPA and Spencer American Trappist Ale.

But it is not just about the tipple.

There will be a wide variety of food selections from Mr & Mrs Maxwell's, Tiger's Milk and Harry's.

Feast on the well-loved Harry's signature wings, fish cracklings, grilled sausages and more, or head for the classy truffle mac and cheese, foie gras & beef patty and lamb short ribs at Tiger's Milk.

And what better way to further liven up the night than with some live entertainment?

Groove along to the tunes of English rock band Queen, courtesy of Australian tribute band Killer Queen, who will be partnering with Greg Andrew, also known as Australia's Elton John.

Another crowd favourite, Abba tribute band AbbaFab from Australia, will be belting out hits from the 1970s.

Making their debut at Beerfest Asia this year are other tribute bands such as Major Tom David Bowie Tribute from Australia and Slippery When Wet, an Australian Bon Jovi tribute band.

Local acts such as Supersonic, Sweatshop Jam, ShiLi & Adi, Jack & Rai, Johan & Jerome and The Day Trippers will be performing as well.

To perfectly cap off the nights of beer, food and music, make your way to Comedy Lounge and spend some time enjoying the humour dished out by local and international stand-up comedians.

For the first time, BeerFest Asia is bringing in Dartslive Singapore. But if a darts station is not your thing, check out the beer pong tables and table football for more fun and games.

Miss Venetia Lim (above) has been named the winner of the Beer Babe contest for this year's Beerfest Asia, where she will be promoting Asia Pacific Breweries beers at the festival.

"I am excited. And happy to know that my family or friends can be one of the winners of the draw," said the 24-year-old fresh graduate, who won via public voting.

Five winners from the pool of voters who voted for Miss Lim will receive passes worth $268 each to attend Beerfest Asia 2016 on June 19.

"I am happy to see that they are supportive of me. And for supporting me, I hope they will win the tickets," she said.

"I am expecting a lot of people - even more than past years," added the Tiger representative.

Miss Lim said that for the first time, visitors can learn to pour their own pint and experience the unique steps taken to fill a cup of Guinness beer as compared to other draft beers.

"I am looking forward to it," she said.

"Visitors should try different beers from all over the world."
