BEERFEST ASIA RETURNS

Beerfest Asia 2018 starts today at Gardens by the Bay. The annual event will open at 6pm and will run till Sunday. There will be music, comedy, food, workshops and, of course, beer. Exhibitors include Smith Street Taps (below), The Mad Tapper, and 1925 Brewing Co. Tickets are available at the door from $25 and it gets you one beer.

THAI FESTIVAL

The annual Chang Sensory Trails returns tomorrow 4pm at The Lawn at Marina Bay. Eight Thai restaurants will offer 24 dishes, such as Fried Shrimp and Pork Paste Toast from Baan Ying, Watermelon Fried Rice from Gin Khao, and Grilled Khao Yai Chicken from Un-Yong-Kor-Dai. The event ends on Saturday.

ONE FARRER TURNS 4

One Farrer Hotel turns four with a series of $4 promotions in September, including paying $4 for every second diner at Escape Restaurant. The hotel has also created the limited-edition One Farrer Apple with green apple mousse, spiced apple-caramel filling and a crunchy chocolate base at $4.

NEW FLAVOUR

King's Potong Black Sesame ($4.50) is the latest in its range of Asian flavours, such as cempedak and teh tarik. This new flavour uses black sesame paste without additional colouring and preservatives. It is also available in a multi pack of six sticks at leading supermarkets and hypermarkets.
