Five Singaporean rappers we're definitely proud to call ours
It ain't easy being a rapper.
Yes, we've heard all the experts in the field from Jay-Z, Kanye West, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Dr Dre, Birdman, Snoop Dogg to the rest of the fast-talking crew in the US who rhyme in Grammy-winning tunes.
Things is, Singapore has produced some pretty cool rappers of our own.
They may not be dropping beats on the same Grammy stage as the other artistes ... well, not yet.
Check out the five homegrown rappers we can't get enough of:

3. Kevin Lester
Lion City boy Kevin Lester, who is signed to Black Eyed Peas member Apl.de.Ap's label BMBX, is no stranger to taking his locally produced tracks to the international stage.

4. Alyph Sleeq
The rapping half of homegrown duo Sleeq has drops rhymes in both Malay and English effortlessly. It's no surprise the duo has won for themselves quite a number of regional music accolades.

5. Mark Bonafide
This local R&B singer and rapper is considered a veteran on the scene, but his passion for music continues to shine through, years after he first started out in hip-hop and R&B group Bonafide with friend Taufik Batisah.
